Are there additional costs to be expected?

In addition to the yacht charter price, there are the following costs if they have not been calculated in advance or are included in the offer: Food and beverages on board and ashore, rent of water sports equipment, marina, port, buoys and anchorage costs, arrival and departure to and from the yacht, fuel, entrance to national parks and nature reserves, excursions ashore such as bicycle rental or guided city tours, wages and food as well as tips for skipper & crew.

What is the daily schedule for luxury cruises?

It’s not even sunrise and part of the crew is already on their feet, preparing a varied breakfast buffet on quiet soles. Mostly there is the possibility to dive into the crystal clear water of Croatia before or after breakfast. The crew serves you fried eggs and your coffee with great pleasure and lots of love. After breakfast, the ship usually leaves and heads in the direction of the day’s destination. At noon we usually anchor and there is a three course menu served by the crew. There is plenty of time to relax or try out various water sports. In the evening you can either anchor in the lonely bays or in great antique towns which you can explore with great pleasure. On a luxury cruise you can concentrate on relaxing and enjoying your vacation, the crew takes care of almost everything, starting with buying the food, preparing and serving the food & drinks, cleaning the ship, route planning and navigation of the yacht.

What kind of shoes do I wear on board?

In principle, every guest can wear the shoes in which it is comfortable, except shoes with heels are expressly not allowed. However, the shoes should have a white sole with no profile, otherwise they will leave dark stripes on the deck and with profile soles small stones will always be carried on board. Our recommendation is to be barefoot on the one hand and just bring two pairs of shoes with you. One to explore the land and the other to wear on board.

What is a cabin charter?

With a cabin charter you book only one or more cabins. You spend a week with other people with whom you share some common ground and joy: You love to travel and discover new things, have an affinity for classic sailing & motor yachts and simply enjoy being at sea and make new friends while enjoying the passion of yachting to the full. Travel individually but not alone. Cabin charters are usually offered on luxury cruises, but can also be booked on selected dates on catamaran sailing trips.

What is a private charter?

With a private charter, you rent the entire yacht for your family and friends to be among yourselves. Whether active to sail along on sailing yachts, catamaran or also on our luxury cruises to be spoiled all around. Perfect to celebrate anniversaries or other festivities or just to enjoy life to the fullest.

Advantages of a crewed yacht charter?

The crew makes the difference! On our luxury sailing cruises a professionally trained crew is on board which consists of between three and six crew members. A captain, who is responsible for the ship, plans the route taking into account the weather, takes care of the well-being of the crew & guests. A cook, he takes care of all purchases of drinks and food, prepares a great breakfast buffet, at noon he conjures a light three course menu out of the small galley and optionally with full board also a delicious dinner – tailored to the wishes of the guests. The hostess will be happy to serve all popular drinks and food and after a few days she will read the wishes of the guests from their eyes and will do her best to make their journey as comfortable and carefree as possible. She is also responsible for the cleanliness inside the ship. The sailor is the right hand of the captain, supports him actively in navigating and mooring the ship and is responsible for the cleanliness of the deck. In short, you can fully orientate yourself on enjoying & relaxing, your crew will take care of everything else to make your trip unforgettable.

Where does the journey start?

Usually our trips in Dalmatia start in Trogir near Split. With “One – way – routes” it can be also in Dubrovnik or to another starting point.

Can I collect miles?

Yes, this is possible on sailing-, catamaran- and motor boat trips with skipper. For luxury sailing cruises with more than two crew members it is unfortunately not possible. It is also possible to arrange specific mileage cruises.

Who decides about the route?

With a private charter we can respond even more to the wishes of the group and try to reach all the destinations that are desired. With cabin charter there is usually a “fixed route” which is determined by the captain, of course we also try to respond to individual wishes as good as possible. It applies with each kind of the journey however: Safety first, it can occur thus that there can be plan changes because of weather situations, which the captain & Skipper decides alone.

What is a Gulet?

A gulet is a traditional wooden boat with two masts, which have been handmade in Turkey more than a hundred years ago. It has much charm and warmth, simply uniquely inviting and to feel like at home by so much love for detail. Gulets usually have between three and six cabins, are often under engine, but also have sails and as soon as the wind conditions are right they are set. They score points with full service on board, a large outdoor area with sun deck and outdoor al fresco dining table and often have a huge open air lounge.

What is the difference between half board & full board?

Half board includes a breakfast buffet & a 2 to 3 course lunch. Full board includes breakfast & lunch and dinner served on board. Our recommendation is half board, so you can discover even more about culture, culinary delights and people during short excursions ashore.

Activities outside the yacht?

A sailing cruise or catamaran sailing trip can be perfectly combined to explore the country, for example with rented bicycles or scooters. Go for hiking, kayaking, diving, windsurfing or simply to go shopping. Actually, almost everything is possible, activities can be optionally organized for one day or more days.

Are towels & bed linen provided?

Yes, bed linen & towels are included. Depending on the offer you have booked, the number of towels per person varies.

How is the living together with the crew or skipper?

The crew on the luxury cruises are professionally trained and are on duty when necessary and withdraw when not needed. This is also the case with our Bluetrips skippers. The crew & skippers have a separate cabin.

What is a boutique sailing yacht?

How are the cabins equipped?

All cabins are equipped with towels & bed linen. On luxury sailing cruises all cabins have their own en suite bathroom with hair dryers and many other accessories. They also have 220V power outlets and air conditioning and closets.

Do I tip?

In this context, there is often uncertainty, but yes, of course, in Croatia tipping is also common. In the restaurant, hotel or in the coffee bar you give approx. 10% of the invoice costs if you are satisfied. In the same way it behaves also with the cab driver or the crew and Skipper on yachts. With satisfaction it belongs to the customs approx. 10% of the charter price as tip value to appreciations.

Which route will we travel?

Starting from Trogir east to the National Park Kornati or west to Korćula and back. We also offer “One-way-trips”, which start in Trogir and end in Dubrovnik or in reverse order. Depending on the route, the most varied islands and cities are visited, such as Šibenik, Šolta, Brać, Hvar, Vis, Split Mljet, Lastovo. And many other untouched beauties of the country. Why should I visit Croatia?

Croatia, the Caribbean of Europe will cast a spell over you. With its 1246 offshore islands, it offers a wide variety of authentic natural beauty, crystal clear waters, secluded bays and lagoons, all within a moderate range of each other. You will find a little bit of history everywhere as well as beautiful and picturesque old fishing villages, small historic towns and historic castles and palaces. Each of the islands has its own little subculture and mentality. The hospitality in this country is just wonderful.

Which airport is nearby?

The nearest airport to Trogir is Split Airport, which is 6 km away.

Is there parking space for my car?

In the port of Trogir there are guarded parking lots, which cost about 10 Euro per day.

How do I travel?

Most of our guests arrive by plane. We will be happy to organize a VIP transfer from the airport to the port or your hotel if you arrive a few days before the start of the cruise. But you can also arrive comfortably by car and then park your car safely at the parking lot of the marina.

Where is Croatia?

Croatia is a country in the transition zone between Central and Southeast Europe. As a typical Mediterranean country it borders on Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro and shares the sea border in the Adriatic Sea with Italy.

How will I communicate in Croatia?

How good is the medical care in Croatia?

There are emergency rooms, pharmacies and general practitioners on all islands and towns on the mainland. In the larger cities like Split or Zagreb there are large hospitals. There are many ambulances and also the air & sea rescue is well developed. It is always advisable to take out health insurance for travel abroad.

Is there any crime in Croatia?

In Croatia, street crime is very low and violent crime is very rare. On board of a private yacht the probability to meet petty criminals is also zero. Yacht charters are one of the safest ways to travel.

What is Croatian cuisine like?

The typical Croatian cuisine is a product of the geographical position and history of Croatia. Turkish, Italian and French influences are combined with the typical occurrence of food products. Especially in the regions of Istria and Dalmatia Italian-Mediterranean influences can be found. As a coastal country, fish and seafood are high up in the Croatian food chain, as well as olive oil and a good drop of wine. But the big secret of the local and typically Mediterranean cuisine is: Always use only the freshest ingredients and herbs. There is a culinary delight for everyone.

Are there sights to see?

Croatia may be a small country, but it has a rich culture and history and a total of ten UNESCO World Heritage UNESCO places. What documents do I need to enter Croatia?

In order not to experience any surprises at the border to Croatia, you should inform yourself about the current entry regulations for Croatia before you start your vacation. As European Union citizens you can enter with a valid identity card or passport without problems. If you arrive by car you need the valid vehicle documents and a valid national driver’s license. As not European Union citizen you clarify please with your responsible consulate, which papers are needed.

How long do I rent a yacht?

Usually a trip lasts one week, starting Saturday evening – ending Saturday morning. On the boutique sailing yacht Luopan the trip starts on Sunday evening and ends Sunday morning. But we also offer short or longer turns, just ask our team for special dates.

Is there water sports equipment or snorkeling gear available?

Boutique luxury cruises usually have SUP, wakeboard, water ski, donut and snorkeling equipment on board, on request also jet skis. For catamaran sailing trips, motor yachts & sailing yachts SUP and other water sports equipment can be rented on request.

Can I do my laundry?

On most cruise ships and bareboats there is usually no possibility to use a washing machine. However, in some ports, i.e. in Trogir, there is a self-service launderette.

Can I book day trips on yachts?

On selected motorboats and sailboats it is possible to book day trips upon request.

On our luxury cruises, the yachts are much larger, which also means that the cabins are more spacious and always have a en-suite bathroom. Also on deck, the luxury yachts offer different and larger areas to linger. An important difference is that there is a professional crew of three to six people on board to take care of all the essential things.
The focus of an active sailing vacation is not only to enjoy and relax but also to actively take part in the various tasks on board a sailing yacht. Starting with shopping, preparing the food, keeping order on the ship and with the support and accompaniment of our Bluetrips skippers to hoist sails themselves and also to be at the helm and lead the yacht through the wind.

What is a bareboat charter?

You rent only the boat without skipper and crew. You are the skipper yourself with the appropriate license, the guests are the crew. You are responsible for sailing, navigating and everything else – cooking, shopping, cleaning, route planning and everything else that happens on a yacht.

Which travel style is the best for me?

We would be happy to consult you in a personal conversation or via email which type of travel and which yacht best suits your preferences.

Who prepares the meals and goes shopping?

On boutique luxury sailing cruises, the crew on board takes care of the shopping and the preparation of the food. On Catamaran Sailing Cruises, Active – Sailing Holidays & Motor Yachts with skipper the guest takes care of the shopping and cooks by himself.

Which currencies are accepted in croatia?

In Croatia the Croatian Kuna (HRK) is the official currency. In many places payment in Euro is also accepted. It is always advisable to have some cash with you, as not all restaurants accept payment by card.

Are there active or theme trips on ships offered?

In order to support actively, catamaran sailing trips and our active sailing vacations are the right thing for you. However, you can also equip a boat trip with different themes. Such as sailing & hiking, sailing & diving, sailing & biking, yoga, SUP safaris, cultural tour with guided city tours. Also company trips or customer events are a welcome change in this way and journey to arrange.

What do I do if I get seasick?

Even though in principle everyone can get seasick at some point: Some people are more prone to seasickness than others and react more sensitively to rocking movements. There are medicines, plasters & bracelets in the pharmacy to counteract the motion sickness. But often it helps to stay outside on deck and focus on the horizon. In the cabins, in closed rooms, the potential discomfort usually increases. And a good recipe is usually not to go crazy about it too much in advance.

Can I bring my pets with me?

For luxury cruises it is usually not allowed to bring pets. On bareboats it is sometimes allowed to bring dogs for an extra charge of the final cleaning. The best thing to do is to ask us and we will clarify this for each case individually.

Can I go scuba dive?

There are several diving centers, we are happy to organize something for you as a day – or several days event.

Yacht cruises are the perfect choice of vacations to unite all generations. Active yachting trips are perfect for families with children. Sailing cruises are recommended for all generations, from the bright child to the parents who want to relax and the grandparents who simply enjoy having all their loved ones around them. A certain amount of basic mobility and fitness is however a small requirement for all guests.

On all our trips we try to keep the pollution for the environment as low as possible. We collect, separate and dispose all our waste correctly. Our motors and generators only run when necessary.

Is there water sports equipment on board?

On boutique sailing yachts there is usually a large selection of diving goggles, snorkel & fins as well as two SUP, waterski & wakeboard. Even more water sports equipment can be rented in advance. For active sailing, motor and catamaran cruises there is no equipment provided, but if you wish you can rent SUP on spot.

What is a on- board chash desk?

At the beginning of the voyage, the on-board cash desk is set up for all running incidental expenses such as fuel, port fees and basic food on board. Each guest participates equally. What is a daily itinerary for a catamaran sailing trip, sailing or motor yacht trip with a skipper?

On most sailing and motorboat cruises you will not depart until after breakfast, so you can start the morning with a wonderful jump into the crystal clear azure blue sea. A short walk to the village and shopping for provisions for the day. Most of the daily stages are planned in such a way that you will be anchored in a beautiful bay for a self-prepared lunch snack and you will also have enough time to enjoy the crystal clear water. On board you are part of a team and actively participate according to your abilities in the different tasks on board. On the way there will be enough time to relax and to help with the sailing. In the evening you can either anchor in bays or moor in one of the small picturesque town or nature harbours. The route can be freely arranged according to the guests’ wishes as long as the weather conditions allow it and the skipper considers it safe.

Can I collect miles?

Yes, this is possible on sailing-, catamaran- and motor boat trips with skipper. For luxury sailing cruises with more than two crew members it is unfortunately not possible. It is also possible to arrange specific mileage cruises.

Who will be the skipper?

Who decides about the route?

With a private charter we can respond even more to the wishes of the group and try to reach all the destinations that are desired. With cabin charter there is usually a “fixed route” which is determined by the captain, of course we also try to respond to individual wishes as good as possible. It applies with each kind of the journey however: Safety first, it can occur thus that there can be plan changes because of weather situations, which the captain & Skipper decides alone.

What is a catamaran?

A catamaran is a ship with two hulls which are fixed together, so they offer a lot of space for living. Catamarans have a small draught, perfect for anchoring in turquoise waters. There is hardly any tilt when sailing.

Catamaran or sailing boat?

Who attaches more importance to sporty sailing, should rather rent a sailing yacht which has more heeling. Who prefers more space on deck and in the cabins and accepts a little weaker sailing characteristics, is better placed on a catamaran.

Activities outside the yacht?

A sailing cruise or catamaran sailing trip can be perfectly combined to explore the country, for example with rented bicycles or scooters. Go for hiking, kayaking, diving, windsurfing or simply to go shopping. Actually, almost everything is possible, activities can be optionally organized for one day or more days.

Are towels & bed linen provided?

Yes, bed linen & towels are included. Depending on the offer you have booked, the number of towels per person varies.

How is the living together with the crew or skipper?

The crew on the luxury cruises are professionally trained and are on duty when necessary and withdraw when not needed. This is also the case with our Bluetrips skippers. The crew & skippers have a separate cabin.

How are the cabins equipped?

All cabins are equipped with towels & bed linen. On luxury sailing cruises all cabins have their own en suite bathroom with hair dryers and many other accessories. They also have 220V power outlets and air conditioning and closets.

Do I tip?

In this context, there is often uncertainty, but yes, of course, in Croatia tipping is also common. In the restaurant, hotel or in the coffee bar you give approx. 10% of the invoice costs if you are satisfied. In the same way it behaves also with the cab driver or the crew and Skipper on yachts. With satisfaction it belongs to the customs approx. 10% of the charter price as tip value to appreciations.

For luxury cruising, catamaran sailing trips, active sailing vacations and motoryacht with skipper you don’t need a license or sailing skills. If you would like to rent a boat or yacht without a skipper, you need a valid driver’s license and sailing skills.

What is a on- board chash desk?

At the beginning of the voyage, the on-board cash desk is set up for all running incidental expenses such as fuel, port fees and basic food on board. Each guest participates equally. The skipper will be catered for from the board cash register according to old sailor’s custom. Usual at Aktiv sailing & catamaran hollidays.

Are there additional costs to be expected?

In addition to the yacht charter price, there are the following costs if they have not been calculated in advance or are included in the offer: Food and beverages on board and ashore, rent of water sports equipment, marina, port, buoys and anchorage costs, arrival and departure to and from the yacht, fuel, entrance to national parks and nature reserves, excursions ashore such as bicycle rental or guided city tours, wages and food as well as tips for skipper & crew.

What is a daily itinerary for a catamaran sailing trip, sailing or motor yacht trip with a skipper?

On most sailing and motorboat cruises you will not depart until after breakfast, so you can start the morning with a wonderful jump into the crystal clear azure blue sea. A short walk to the village and shopping for provisions for the day. Most of the daily stages are planned in such a way that you will be anchored in a beautiful bay for a self-prepared lunch snack and you will also have enough time to enjoy the crystal clear water. On board you are part of a team and actively participate according to your abilities in the different tasks on board. On the way there will be enough time to relax and to help with the sailing. In the evening you can either anchor in bays or moor in one of the small picturesque town or nature harbours. The route can be freely arranged according to the guests’ wishes as long as the weather conditions allow it and the skipper considers it safe.

What kind of shoes do I wear on board?

In principle, every guest can wear the shoes in which it is comfortable, except shoes with heels are expressly not allowed. However, the shoes should have a white sole with no profile, otherwise they will leave dark stripes on the deck and with profile soles small stones will always be carried on board. Our recommendation is to be barefoot on the one hand and just bring two pairs of shoes with you. One to explore the land and the other to wear on board.

What is a private charter?

With a private charter, you rent the entire yacht for your family and friends to be among yourselves. Whether active to sail along on sailing yachts, catamaran or also on our luxury cruises to be spoiled all around.
